Though she has proven herself in man work, Vega’s true passion lies in her incredible prey drive. She is one of our top predator dogs, combining speed, agility, and determination in a way that sets her apart. Despite her somewhat bulldog-like build, she is astonishingly fast and relentless in her work.

As valuable as her working ability is, Vega’s greatest quality is her ability to outproduce herself. She has had two outstanding litters already, and through them, she has given us some of our most promising up-and-coming dogs. Her legacy is already clear in the next generation.

Pandora, affectionately called Panda, is one of the most promising young females in our program. At just a year old, she already shows tremendous potential and a perfect blend of her sire Kenai’s tenacity and her dam Vega’s athleticism.

Though smaller in stature compared to some of our other dogs, Panda more than makes up for it with her intensity and drive. She has already begun man work and is progressing beautifully, while also showing natural instinct and ability in farm work—performing exceptionally well for her age.

What makes Panda stand out is her balance of handler sensitivity and independence. She is a highly useful “tool” in that she can be directed with ease while still making intelligent choices on her own. Driven, stable, and confident—even with her naturally dominant edge—she is maturing into a dog we know will be an invaluable asset to our program in the years to come.

Melee is a young female who is still very much growing into herself, and her youth shows most clearly in social settings. She is active, playful, and often overly enthusiastic with other dogs — more busy than bold — but consistently well-meaning and socially appropriate. She is extremely accepting of other dogs, meets newcomers easily, and is a dog I trust fully in group environments.

She is almost always the first to initiate play and brings a level of energy that few dogs in the pack can match. Melee wakes up ready to engage with the day and seems to have an endless supply of motion. While her energy is high, it is not chaotic or sharp; it is simply youthful and persistent, and to date her limits are still unknown.

Temperament-wise, Melee is well-balanced and easy to live with. She is good with children, dogs, and cats, and maintains a generally neutral, stable demeanor despite her quirks. She enjoys interaction, enjoys learning, and shows a natural willingness to engage with her handler.

At this stage, Melee’s prey drive is clearly present and developing. While we have not yet explored other working avenues, her interest in movement, engagement, and reward-based work is consistent and promising, and her enthusiasm for learning continues to grow.

Structurally, Melee continues to improve as she matures. She represents the old-style working Great Dane phenotype we are intentionally working toward — functional, athletic, and free from the exaggerated features seen in many modern hyper-type Danes. Though fully Dane, her build reflects historical purpose rather than contemporary trends.

Melee was brought into the program with long-term vision in mind. She is still young, still developing, and very much a work in progress, but she represents an important piece of the foundation for the next phase of this project. We look forward to watching her mature and evaluating how she ultimately contributes to the direction of the program.

India, or Indy, is Cain’s littermate and one of our youngest prospects. Still very much a puppy, we are keeping a close watch on her as she grows—but already, she shows qualities that set her apart.

Indy is remarkably intelligent, with a calm presence and a sharp, thoughtful nature. She always seems to be working through a problem, and her steady, unshakable temperament gives her a quiet elegance that’s rare to see at this age.

Recently, Indy spent a two-week period learning farm life. During that time, she showed determination by attempting to move a herd of cattle. While she lacked direction, her sheer persistence and natural instinct shone through.

Indy still has plenty of growing and maturing ahead, but with her intelligence and temperament we are excited to see what the future holds for her
